1. Who we are
Web Culture is a trading brand of Faith Computing Pty Ltd, ABN 94 138 361 510, which also trades as Sites By Design. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Faith Computing Pty Ltd.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
2. What we collect
| Contact information | Name, email address, phone number and postal address. |
|---|---|
| Business information | Company name, website address, industry and details of what you need built or marketed. |
| Technical information | IP address, browser type, operating system and device information. |
| Usage data | Pages visited, time on page and other analytics data. |
| Marketing preferences | Whether you have asked to hear from us, and how. |
We do not seek sensitive information as defined by the Privacy Act, and we ask that you do not send it to us.
3. How we collect it
- Directly from you. When you book a call, email us, ring us, or fill in a form.
- Automatically. Through cookies and similar technologies while you browse this site.
- From third parties. Analytics providers and advertising platforms, where you have interacted with our advertising.
4. Why we collect it
- To provide and manage web design, hosting, content and marketing services.
- To respond to your enquiry or service request.
- To send marketing communications, where you have consented.
- To improve this website and the services we offer.
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations.
5. Booking a call
The booking button on this site opens a scheduling widget operated by HighLevel (leadconnectorhq.com), which acts as our customer relationship management provider. When you book, the name, email address and phone number you enter are collected by that platform on our behalf and stored in our account there. Their infrastructure is located outside Australia, so section 8 applies.
6. Who we disclose it to
- Service providers who help us operate, including our CRM, email provider, analytics providers and advertising platforms.
- Professional advisers such as our accountant, where necessary.
- Law enforcement or regulators, where we are required or authorised by law.
- A purchaser, if the business or part of it is ever sold or transferred.
We do not sell your personal information. Where we engage a third party, we take reasonable steps to ensure they are bound by confidentiality and privacy obligations consistent with this policy.
7. Where your website is hosted
Websites we build and host for clients run on our own servers in Sydney, Australia. Data held on those servers stays in Australia unless a client specifically asks us to arrange otherwise.
8. Overseas disclosure
Some of the software we use to run the business is operated overseas, including our CRM, email and analytics providers, and the AI tools described in section 12. When we disclose your personal information to a recipient outside Australia, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles it in a way consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles, or is subject to laws offering comparable protection.
9. Security
We hold personal information on secure servers with encryption in transit, restricted access, and regular review of our security arrangements. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take the protection of your information seriously and act promptly if something goes wrong.
We destroy or de-identify personal information when it is no longer needed and we are not required to keep it.
10. Cookies
Cookies are small data files stored on your device. We use them to remember your preferences, understand how the site is used, and measure advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site may not work as intended if you do.
11. Anonymity
Where it is lawful and practicable, you may deal with us anonymously or under a pseudonym. In most cases we will need your real contact details to quote on or deliver work.
12. Use of artificial intelligence
We use AI tools to assist with parts of our work, including drafting content, analysing performance data, generating design concepts, technical SEO analysis and internal workflows.
- Where reasonably practicable we minimise the personal information entered into AI systems.
- Some AI providers operate outside Australia, which means using them can involve overseas disclosure. Section 8 applies.
- We select reputable providers and work in a privacy-conscious way, but we cannot guarantee that a third party AI provider will not retain, log or further process information entered into their systems.
- Please do not enter sensitive personal information into any AI-assisted process we run for you unless we have agreed it in advance.
- AI-assisted output can be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. We review it, and you should not treat it as a substitute for your own judgment or for independent professional advice.
13. Access and correction
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you and request that we correct it. Email admin@webculture.com.au and we will respond within a reasonable period. We may need to verify your identity first. If we refuse a request we will tell you why in writing.
14. Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, email admin@webculture.com.au or ring 1300 959 312 and we will investigate and respond.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can take the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at www.oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
15. Changes to this policy
